As to the picture, I took it with a normal lens, no wide angle or anything. But it was taken through the window of my hotel room (notice the slight glare in the sky area), so maybe the glass in that window created that cheap wide-angle effect.

I work with one of the former structural engineers of this building. He's one of 3 people in the world who actually knows the final height of the building. (No, he can't tell anyone.)
