Because they're trying to turn [Chris Perez] into a sinker-slider pitcher. That's why.

Sell high, Mozeliak.

Duncan ruined Danny Haren. I'm glad we had the sense to sell high there.

That's ridiculous. Perez's best pitch coming in was his slider, they just want him to perfect it so he can throw it for strikes more consistently. It's not like they have him down there learning a whole new pitch. They're having him work on his best pitch so he comes back that much more dominant. Read a scouting report sometime instead of a menu, Bernie.

Bernie tried to say that Perez is giving up too many meatballs, but each time he typed it he tried to eat his laptop screen.

Bernie is a wizard with the metaphor. Check out today's masterpiece. Cheetahs indeed.

Cheetahs
The cheetah, for example, has a rough set of circumstances to deal with. That's something I learned while watching Animal Planet. To escape vicious predators, the cheetah must run fast, or climb trees, or hide in the thick brush.
The young cheetahs are really vulnerable. It is estimated that 90 percent of cheetah cubs are killed by lions, hyenas and more powerful stalkers. But at times the cheetah will be able to successfully fend off the predators.

Methinks Bernie really wanted to write about Cheetohs instead of cheetahs.

The Cheetoh, for example, has a rough set of circumstances to deal with. That's something I learned while watching Animal Planet. To escape me, the Cheetoh must run fast, or climb trees, or hide in the thick brush.
The young Cheetohs are really vulnerable. It is estimated that 90 percent of Cheetoh cubs are killed by me. But at times the Cheetoh will be able to outrun me.
That's a plausible hypothesis, MrCrowesGarden.
