True, I guess I left that off, as well as the Edmonds catch, the Edmonds game 6 walk-off and the Yadier homerun off Heilman because almost all of mine were clinching situations.

I have a few more than five...

1. Wainwright strikes out Beltran to send the Cards to the World Series. I was pacing for that entire inning.

2. Wainwright strikes out Inge to give the Cards their first World Series victory since '82. The goosebumps I got watching that, plus the ensuing celebration, were AWESOME.

3. Pujols hitting a homer off of Lidge in the 2005 NLCS.

4. Yadier's home run in Game 7.

5. Pretty much the entire 2004 NLCS against the Astros. Holy cow, what an unbelievable display of baseball. Edmonds with his incredible catch and game-winning home run, Albert being his typical supernatural self, Suppan defeating Clemens, Rolen taking Clemens yard, Pujols and Rolen going back-to-back, etc. Amazing.

6. North Carolina defeating Illinois to win the NCAA tournament. I hated pretty much every player for the Illini (and I'm a UNC fan), so nothing gave me more pleasure than seeing their picture-perfect season end in defeat. UNC and Illinois were considered to be the top two teams in basketball that year, so to see them meet up in the end was great, not to mention unlikely.

7. Steve Bartman owns the Cubs and ruins their postseason.

This is a REALLY tough list for me to put together.

#5 - Terrail Lambert intercepts Drew Stanton - September 23, 2006 in the 4th quarter to give Notre Dame a 40-37 lead over Michigan State with 2 minutes to go in the game. Probably the only time in my life that I've ever actually written off a team in the middle of a game only to see them turn the tables.

#4 - Michael Jordan hits the series-winner - June 14, 1998 to give the Bulls the NBA championship over the Jazz. I wish like hell I could've been born 11 or 12 years earlier so I could fully appreciate this guy's career.

#3 - Tom Zbikowski takes a punt back for a score against USC - October 15, 2005 to give Notre Dame a 21-14 lead in the greatest game I will probably ever see played in person. The return was right into the end zone where I was sitting and I probably blacked out at some point screaming. I didn't gain full use of my voice back after this game until the following Tuesday evening.

#2 - Sammy Sosa homers in Game 1 of the NLCS - October 7, 2003 to tie the game at 8 in the bottom of the 9th inning. One of those magical sports moments where you're thinking "only one thing can happen to make me excited right now and there's no way it's gonna happen and OH MY GOD IN HEAVEN IT'S HAPPENING" that make sports wonderful.

#1 - Jake Delhomme hits Steve Smith for a touchdown - January 10, 2004 on the first play of double overtime to give the Panthers a 29-23 victory over the St. Louis Rams in the NFC divisional playoffs. Coming into the game, I was hoping Carolina would win, but I wasn't exactly predicting it. When Jake hit Steve (X-Clown, I'll never forget the play call), I lost my mind.

Some honorable mentions:
Shane Walton intercepts John Navarre to clinch ND's upset win over Michigan - 2002 (bonus because I was there and got to storm the field)
Kerry Wood owns the Braves in Game 5 of the NLDS to give the Cubs their first postseason series win since...well, you know - 2003
Bulls obliterate the Jazz in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, setting a new record for fewest points allowed in a shot-clock game - 1998
Muhsin Muhammad catches an 85-yard TD on the longest play from scrimmage in Super Bowl history to give the Panthers the lead over the Patriots 22-21 - 2003

I don't think I can rate these in any particular order, except for number 1..

so..5 thru 2 in no order

Gary Bennett's walk off grand slam against the Cubs in 2006....I was at the game so it holds massive significance for me

Warren Holloway catches a Drew Tate 40+ yard TD pass as time expires to win the Outback Bowl against LSU....one of the coolest football plays I've ever seen on any level....senior WR catches his first and only TD of his collegiate career to win a New Year's Day bowl game..

Scott Rolen hits a 2 run HR off of Roger Clemens/Jim Edmonds makes a diving catch to essentially save the game: Game 7 2004 NLCS....this win was the first time I ever remember (I was 5 in '87) the Cardinals winning a pennant and going to the WS...what a tremendous feeling

Albert Pujols hits a GW HR in Game 5 of the 2005 NLCS to save the Cardinals season and the life of Busch II for one more day......most dramatic HR I can remember watching

And number 1:
AW strikes out Brandon Inge to secure the Cards first WS title in 25 years....I was in shock, and couldn't believe they had done it...one of the most surreal moments of my life....I just sat there in disbelief

I can identify. The shock sorta came on me slowly though after I started to contemplate all that had happened to my team and me since they won it all in 82.

It was just a long time coming and the feeling of happiness and joy was overwhelming...and noone that was in the room with me as the last out was recorded would or could understand it even if I tried to explain.

The elation was all mine to savor at that point in time and place.

I was watching at my folks house and my older sister was also there..

They all came in and gave me a hug and high five and were all excited and all I could do was sit there...they asked me if I was ok and all I could do was nod my head..

My cell phone kept ringing with congratulatory calls and I couldn't even answer them cause I had no idea what I would have said other then "I can't believe it happened"

It was a long time coming...lots of nights spent fiddling with a radio antenna trying to get KMOX in, lots of weekend nights in college and high school waiting for the Cards game to get over before I went out for the night....in grade school and high school when I got in trouble my dad would actually send me to my room...but only after he confiscated the only radio in the house that had an antenna that we could fiddle with to get KMOX in....those punishments were brutal

I was with family too.....the in-laws. A bunch of Kansans that only relate to college football and the Chiefs.

My mother in law did take a moment to take a snapshot of me and my wife posing on either side of the big screen while Tony LaRussa was being interviewed.

I gotta have her send me that so I can use it here for a sig pic or something.
