I think that Schumaker is our version of Ronny Cedeno.

I feel bad for dogging Gooch so much. I think Shoe could do just as good, if not better.

Randy Keisler.

Taguchi hasn't been completely terrible (Although he has been pretty bad) he just needs to stay on the bench as a defensive replacement, pinch runner, or pinch hitter vs. Billy Wagner.

Wilson strikes out a lot and has some pretty bad plays in the field, but he's basically a poor man's Juan Encarnacion. Juan is hurt, so his back up is playing. I can live with it.

Schumaker hasn't looked good in his PH so far, but I think he just needs to keep the role that I talked about with Taguchi. Just a defensive replacement, pinch runner, or a pinch hitter early in games. Maybe some spot starts in CF.

Miles has done a good job as a back up. I have no problem with him in that role. But he shouldn't be starting as much as he has. He needs to stay a bench player.

Thompson just needs to get his head on straight. He had a great spring, but probably had too much pressure put on him when he was made the 8th inning guy. But I think in a middle relief role he will be fine.

Hancock just needs to stay in the mop up role and only be used in a blow out. He's nothing special either way. Not very good, but nothing terrible. Just use him when you need a bunch of innings (like when Reyes starts...)

Which leaves Randy Keisler. He's a AAAA pitcher. The only reason he didn't get rocked is because it was the Pirates, and they were having a bad game. He threw up fat pitch after fat pitch. He just isn't any good.

Which is why I want Hawksworth called up. I know, I know, he hasn't started above AA or whatever before this year. But when the ace of your staff goes down, you have to take some risks. At the very least, he'd get a few major league starts under his belt for him to build on for next year. It's not like he'd be any worse than Keisler.

But Keisler just doesn't cut it for me. Maybe I'm alone on this one though.

I still find it odd that even though Wilson is the only right handed power bat people want him gone. I'll name a few...

Skip Scott. Aside from the fact that we already have a more experienced, better version of him on the team (So), he's done nothing good for us this season so far. When I think Skip, I think a-worst AB ever the other night, and b-ball off his head.

Runners-up: P-Dub (player) and Hancock (pitcher).

PS: Miles should stay.

I think it's ironical/humorous that only two weeks ago most of you were saying that Tony needed to cut ties with So and keep Shumaker here. Now everyone wants to kick him off.
