Hummel, hands down.Phyrkrakr wrote:Man, I kinda wish they would've gotten someone besides Dan O'Neill to write that article. I think DGoold or Larry over at VEB could've done something better with the Cards fans here.
Oh yeah, I didn't even think about that. Nothing like a Hall of Fame writer to support the club. Who is Dan O'Neill, anyway? I don't remember reading his stuff in the paper.TimeForGuinness wrote:Hummel, hands down.Phyrkrakr wrote:Man, I kinda wish they would've gotten someone besides Dan O'Neill to write that article. Most definitely. "Best fan" stuff makes me want to jab sharp objects in my eyes.Kyle wrote:I do not like lumping fan bases together.
That's what I want to catch next. Although, mid Sept. I'll be headed to Boston for hopefully a deciding series vs. NYY.pop_haines wrote:Boy, ain't that the truth.UK wrote:There isn't anything like a Yankees/Red Sox game in Fenway.
Although catching a Giants/Dodgers game at the 'Stick
was very intense.
I agree because of the atmosphere around it, as far as comforts, I like Camden and PNC the best. Comerica is up there as well.Fenway is my favorite place. The fans are loud, passionate, and very knowledgeable. I don't know how they do it, but they get the "Let's Go Red Sox" chant going in no time flat with no cues from the organ or scoreboard. If you go, do some homework though. There are some weird seats there.
There really are differences. Chicago Cub fans really do seem to enjoy themselves no matter what, Red Sox fans are passionate and very knowledgeable, and Cardinal fans have knowledge with midwestern manners. White Sox fans, well there are some good ones but as a group I'm not really sure what they are doing at the games.Kyle wrote:I do not like lumping fan bases together.
That was me. Before the gates to the park even opened. Some guy in a Red Sox hat and another guy in a Yankees jersey nearly came to blows............. at a Reds/Cardinals game.jim wrote:Someone on here was telling about a story of a Red Sox/Yankees fan getting into a fight - at a REDS game.
