Ehhh Torres is just AAA filler, but I’d be fine to bring up for an injury or something.

But a tiny guy with no power and 29 years old; there’s nothing there as far as an MLB future-wise

Yeah, Torres might put up a .500 OPS. Can’t have that.

Church scratched. Wonder if he's hurt?

good point, I got seduced by the ops. He takes a lot of walks, but there is no way he is walking that much in MLB with no power, nor is he going to hit 330.

Torres now seems more likely to be what Saggese was supposed to be, just left handed. And as of now I’d be inclined to bet on him being more productive against lefties than Saggese. He walks a lot, he’s played all over, has some pop, and he’s done about all he can do to get promoted. No reason not to, given the mode we’re in. He might fall apart, but I think he deserves a shot.

Cardinals baseball in 2026: Finding all the holes in the alternative players when guys in the major leagues are performing at astonishingly bad levels.

Can Torres play in the majors? I don't know. But why'd you keep him on the 40-man when there was a roster crunch if you didn't plan to use him under these circumstances?

Nice. He has been playing well in aaa.
Is this because Walker is feeling the effects of the hbp?
Any word on who is going down? Prieto? Saggese?
Jeff Jones is now saying there is no validity to the rumor. So maybe it is not happening.
Damn. That sucks. A whole bunch of places ran with that.

Marmol says that Church is just a little beat up so he is giving him a day.
