It's understandable STL, but I was GIDDY on draft night when the Cards took Shelby Miller and that hype has worked out well.

Of course, we didn't know it at the time, but Mike Trout would turn into Mike Trout and was the first draftee to attend the draft. How cool is that that he was the first.

I've always been all about player procurement, be it recruiting, drafting, free agency. I always draft or recruit in video games to build a franchise rather than playing all the games.

Others don't care about the labor pains and just want to see the baby.

That's the way that some people want to build a team. I think that trades and free agent signings are more exciting, though.

For me, it's a part of the process. Trades and free agent signings are involved ity that as well.

I remember when we traded for Mulder I slammed my glove down like a 12 y/o. I was playing catch with my little brother and hated trading Haren and for the broken down Mulder.

Trading for Jim Edmonds worked out pretty well also.

It doesn't have to be one or the other, all part of the process.

I agree. I just have a feeling that the Cardinals are afraid of making "the big trade" now, because it seems like they don't want to trade the prospects.

Honestly, absolutely nothing. Did he play against Missouri State? If so, he didn't stand out to me.

Definitely haven't followed the draft as closely as in years past this year, but I've compiled a list of draft sites and their projections (which mean absolutely nothing in baseball, so this is an exercise in... well, I'm not sure what).
