It is hard to tell without seeing the base hits. There have been 2 infield singles, 2 erorrs by the Cards and at least 3 ground ball base hits. If hte ground balls are just well placed and not being hit hard it can be chalked up to an unlucky day. If they are truely spanking the ball hard then it is another story.

Messy, messy game, but the Cards still almost tied it(Ludwick was a few feet short of tying it, according to the radio) up.
Good first inning for Izzy, pretty good work from Wainwright. Seems like he pitched well but had some bad luck with ground balls squeaking through a lot, had 4 Ks, no walks, and got through 5 innings.
