I think the low expectations laid out for her can only help her. That's quite a minefield Biden has to negotiate. Palin's popularity is purely emotional. She'd really have to say something horrible to lose ground. Anything else, given expectations, will be a win.
I agree with the man from Kentucky.
overall Palin was a desparate gimmick by McCain. but then again, Palin has nothing to lose in the debate because of incredibly low expactations. Biden's in a no-win situation.

I'm pretty sure the man from Kentucky is a woman. Or a pitbull with lipstick.

UK wrote:He won't bully her, while I doubt he would ignore her like McCain did to Obama, he'll be aggressive towards McCain. Palin will attack Obama well also, but the difference will come when defending their own party as Biden will be more direct and Palin will be more idealistic and that's where Biden will win the debate.
I find it hard seeing Biden bully her, but the perception may end up being that he is bullying her. Much like the media is being mean, even though they're jus ttrying to interview her and find out more about her.

For example, I saw an interview with, I assume, a print periodical writer who follows Palin's campaign. I didn't recognize the publication, but it apparently had Republican leanings. She was talking about the "gotcha" questions that these anchorpersons were trying to drum up for Palin. I feel I'm a pretty fair person. I can't stand the extremes of Limbaugh/O'Reilly or Olbermann/Maddow, but I hardly thought Couric asked a "gothcha question" when she asked Palin to explain what she meant by her foreign experience by being near Russia. If anything, she was giving Palin to clarify and explain, Palin just botched it. But when the spinners come out after the debate, Biden will end up being a bully.

Looks like the McCain campaign is back to lying. I just seen on CNN that they put out a statement saying that Obama and the Democrats put politics instead of country first to kill the bailout. But apparently, it was defeated because of House Republicans.

I don't care what side of the aisle you are on. The train wreck that is imminent in the vice presidential debate is going to be epic. I wish I could score tickets to see it in person.

I think it calls for flashchat. I just hope it's not too painful to watch, like parts of the Couric interview.
