I would agree that Palin should have more experience. But I don't understand on how those people ripping on her could be so comfortable with Obama's experience. Actually, Palin has more executive experience than all the other three combined.

It seems that Obama has been running for president most of his time in the Senate.

I have more executive experience than Palin but that hardly qualifies me to run the country.

Not weird. Clinton still hopes Obama loses.

That's understandable. After all, Obama defeated Bill's wife. And if there's one thing that can be said about Bill Clinton, it's that he's very loyal and devoted to his wife.

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton is increasingly weird:

NEW YORK -- Bill Clinton said Monday he understands why Sarah Palin is popular in the heartland: because people relate to her.

"I come from Arkansas, I get why she's hot out there," Clinton said. "Why she's doing well."

Speaking to reporters before his Clinton Global Initiative meeting, the former president described Palin's appeal by adding, "People look at her, and they say, 'All those kids. Something that happens in everybody's family. I'm glad she loves her daughter and she's not ashamed of her. Glad that girl's going around with her boyfriend. Glad they're going to get married.'"

Clinton said voters would think, "I like that little Down syndrome kid. One of them lives down the street. They're wonderful children. They're wonderful people. And I like the idea that this guy does those long-distance races. Stayed in the race for 500 miles with a broken arm. My kind of guy."

It's one thing when a poor child gets run out there as a beauty pageant contestant but this is a grown woman.

And her wanting a career in television broadcasting couldn't help but remind me on this film: To Die For

Just my opinon... But I think Sarah Palin has to be the most ludicrous and embarrassing vice-presidential selection in our country's history (and that's including Dan Quayle who seems like a solid choice by comparison). I am just finishing up spending the last two weeks with first a group of Irish and then Dutch bankers and accountants and everyone over here (in Europe) is dumbfounded at what's going on in the U.S. I didn't think we could become a bigger laughing stock in the world after Bush, but I think this election is giving him a run for his money.

Unfortunately, a good portion of the American electorate would probably like that.

There's a portion of the voting public who like Palin because of her 'everyperson' quality. Some probably appreciate her hard stance on abortion and other ultra conservative views.

Most of the people who find Palin pathetic or even loathesome probably wouldn't have voted for McCain even if he had named Joe Lieberman, Phil Graham, or Mitt Romney.

The election's more than likely going to boil down to a 52 to 48% breakdown in the popular vote. Each side is trying to get that 4% edge without losing their base.

For me, I don't think either candidate will do much to radically change anything with 4 or 8 years in office. Actually, the last presidential candidate I would have been excited to vote for was Eugene Debs back in 1920. My uncles, union coal miners, did. So much for that.

Made my mind up to vote for Obama as soon as he gained the Democratic nomination. Unless he takes a flamethrower to a nursery school, he still has it.

I hope we can make a decision on this thing before we're considered a laughing stock. If we choose Obama, are we magically delicious again? Either way, anyone who judges us based on an election result or one running mate can go stick it. I love Europe, but they have their share of embarrassments.
