Joseph Arthur.
And because I want to annoy a co-worker with my music I am going to download itunes and purchase an album by him.
If anyone has heard of him - please recommend which album I should buy.
My intention to annoy my coworker must be very passionate if I am downloading itunes.

Save yourself the money and just go to http://rap-cat.com/, and turn the volume way up.docellis wrote:My intention to annoy my coworker must be very passionate if I am downloading itunes.

The only reason I am using itunes is because I am at work andRC21 wrote:Save yourself the money and just go to http://rap-cat.com/, and turn the volume way up.docellis wrote:My intention to annoy my coworker must be very passionate if I am downloading itunes.
a) downloading must be legal
b) my work computer doesn't have speakers, but does have a CD burner
So I am going to burn what I download to CD and play in my CD player/radio.
Is rap cat legal and can I download it to my hard drive to burn to disc?

If by 'legal' you mean 'safe for work', then yes.docellis wrote:Is rap cat legal and can I download it to my hard drive to burn to disc?
And there's a section under 'Music' where they encourage you to download.
I mean, they're just trying to sell Checkers' burgers with a rapping cat. I don't think there are copyrights involved.

Ahhh you were going strictly for annoyance factor. I see. I will investigate rap cat.

bits and pieces of AA Bondy's new "American Hearts". Bondy used to be the lead in Verbena, but they have since dissolved and Bondy's on his own.
As opposed to Verbena's full on band rock, "American Hearts" is a stripped down, acoustic album that may be the best one no one listens to this year.

Just got QOTSA's 'Era Vulgaris.'
It's pretty darn good stuff, just maybe not quite as strong as their two previous efforts.
On a couple of the songs, they sound a little like 'Eagles of Death Metal.'

The album hasn't officially been release yet. You can order it from the label's website (Superphonic) and they'll go ahead and ship it, but it won't be in stores (and, presumably, on iTunes) until Sept. 4th.
Here are some songs that were on a sampler that made it out there:

http://www.traciedwards.com/02AmericanHearts.mp3
http://www.traciedwards.com/06SomeSummer.mp3
Only American Hearts from that group is on the final release.
His myspace page has 3 more songs that did make the album: http://www.myspace.com/aabondy
