I have a scar on the bridge on my nose from kick the can. Some damn kid kicked the damn can right into my face!

Ibleedred and I and the neighbourhood kids used to play on 25 acres. We'd go all out with black clothing, charcoal on the face and such. One night everybody was captured but Cody and he decided to be the hero. He crawled the border of the fence for an hour sneaking up on base. The only problem was we'd all gone home after 20 minutes.

Man, I used to play this game when I was a kid. Many memories playing kick the can. I loved this game and we would play into the night.

It's a game. One (or more) person(s) is responsible for protecting the can, and they tag people to put them in jail/eliminate them. Game ends when somebody kicks over the can or everybody gets caught.

So do players then just stand next to the can and tag people when they run up to it?

You get as many people as possible. One person is it and the rest hide in as big as an area as the boundries call for. You place a can somewhere in the middle. The person that is 'IT' searches for everyone. If you are seen, you run to the can and try to kick it. If the 'IT' person gets you before you kick the can,then you are a prisoner. If another person, who is hiding, kicks the can before the 'IT' person does, then the prisoner is freed. Once the 'IT' person catches everyone before someone frees everyone else, then someone else is 'IT'.

Does this explain 'kick the can' well enough?

Yeah, and it sounds a lot more fun that the name initially suggests.
