How about the kid tonight. Rasmus went 4/7 in the double header with 4 runs with 2HR a double and 2 RBI and raised his avg to .273. He may start slow at each level but it dont take him long to dominate. He now has 4 HR on the year. The kid is for real guys...

Chris Perez also got his 5th save on the season in the 1st game going 1.1 innings and striking out 3

In addition to the balls that were hits he also drove two balls to the warning track, one that was run down by the center fielder and the other that was dropped at the wall by the right fielder. Rasmus was running on all the way and turned it into a 3 base error and he then scored the tying run on a wild pitch. He is really locked in right now.

On the pitchng side of things, it was reported that Ottavino was throwing in the mid 90's and topped out at 98 during his last start. He and garcia are averaging over 10 K's per 9 innings pitched.

It is my dream to watch the stars of the '05/06 drafts -- Rasmus, Garcia, Jay, Perez, Ottavino -- to play amongst Pujols and Rolen. And I would also like to see Tyler Greene become something.

Isn't Otto a little old for Palm Beach? I don't claim much knowledge about minor league trends, but I was looking up Otto, Rasmus and Garcia and saw that Colby and Jamie were both a year younger than Otto, yet both were in Springfield while Adam was at Palm beach.

When can we expect these three to move to their respective next levels?

I would think that you would want Colby and Jamie to end the year in AAA, and start next year there as well while having Adam spend a good portion of the year in AA.

I'm not sure if Rasmus and Garcia will end the year in AAA. There's a gigantic logjam still, and at least three of the guys in the Memphis outfield (Rodriguez when he's healthy) could supplant Preston Taguchimacher, while you've got guys like Keisler, Ginter and now Lambert of all people twiddling thumbs in Memphis.

I would guess that if the club feels like Rasmus and Garcia are ready to make the jump, then it doesn't matter if there's room for them or not. Guys are moved around to make room for them.

As for age, Rasmus and Garcia are younger than Ottavino, but that's why I don't buy into the age argument a whole lot. Ottavino was just drafted last year. I'd say Palm Beach is exactly where he should be.
