Looper can throw 70-75 pitches effectively

Um...... definitely NOT.

The Mets can beat the tar out of the Cardinals every time they play this year, and it still won't make up for a trip to the World Series.......

See the funny thing is that this is about what I expected to happen last fall. Glad it's happening now as opposed to then, but it's like we're getting it all back in spades. Karma, or something.

Forget the fact that we can't hit, forget the fact that our pitching hasn't been all that great results-wise; a lot of really weird things are happening in this series that would never normally happen for this team. The outfield adventures, Eckstein thrown out at the plate, sure home runs dying right at the wall, Moises Alou of all people making webgems. Something just seems cosmically wrong with this series.

Yeah, Beltran can hit another homer (he's on my fantasy team) and it still won't make up for him standing there and watching strike 3 break in front of him in October.

Different team, Al. Rolen and Edmonds are three years older, there's nobody as good as Reggie Sanders and I don't think Eckstein will be as good as Renteria wasn't that season.

I guess we could look at it like we are playing the beast of the NL. We only play them 3 more times and we will get them in the playoffs. Ok, probably not.
