I hope we'll sweep the Astros, but I think more of the lame/same offensive performance.Cardinalis_cardinalis wrote:Why am I so frustrated? It's only the third game of the season! Oh yeah, I remember...because we're getting shut out by JOHN MAINE. Truly, these guys are looking like last year's team during either of those 8-game losing streaks. It's just painful to watch. Is it too much to ask for us to win our first game sometime soon? I remember us sweeping Philly to start the season last year then getting swept at Wrigley to start at 3-3. Perhaps if we lose tonight we'll sweep the Astros?

Well, I'm not going to doubt the abilities of Pujols, Rolen and Edmonds, but jesus, the team has had seven hits in the past 13 innings. And I think if the Cardinals had tore the cover off the ball in spring, we could say, "oh, they are just having early season adjustments." They aren't going to have any choice but to deal for another bat.Fat Strat wrote:I'm not going to get worked up over 3 games, but this really sucks. It's just like 3/4's of last season when we played lackluster baseball before backing into the WS.
I just don't think I have it in me for another 6 months of crappy baseball.

I don't know, maybe I'm not "fan" enough, but this year is gravy for me. As long as we're respectable, I won't get too worked up over things... how could it be any worse than the multiple losing streaks last year?
Then again, it looks like I'll be taking my breaks during the offensive half of the inning this year. Watching Kip and Looper has actually been really enjoyable so far.

It's my fault. I turned on the TV and Reyes hit it out.
Can it get any worse??
Yep, guess it can!
