I'm sorry, if the Cards offense is this anemic, we need to make changes ASAP.

This is horrible!!!!!!!! I'd suggest taking on some bats that don't offer D.

How bad is it when the Cardinals still have 12 outs left and a three-run deficit, yet it just feels like it's over?

These pitchers labor because they know we can't score a run. It's so obvious and has been obvious.

Here's what I'm feeling about our offense...

All throughout '06, guys were going through major slumps. Nobody went through the season without having a bad couple of weeks. They would look stupid at the plate swinging at balls. If they made contact, it would be crappy dribblers to the middle infield. During that stretch, I would dread that batter coming to the plate, because I knew that he'd do poorly.

I feel that way about every single hitter on the team right now. I know it's only been two and a half games, but this is ridiculous.

Oh, I'm feeling optimistic about the chances of scoring some runs this weekend. Roy Oswalt is pitching! #-o

If two pitchers with combined ages of 103 and John Maine can hold the Cardinals to a possible two runs in three games, what are they going to do against Oswalt and Jennings??

I'm not going to get worked up over 3 games, but this really sucks. It's just like 3/4's of last season when we played lackluster baseball before backing into the WS.

I just don't think I have it in me for another 6 months of crappy baseball.

And, I'm lying. I'll watch every game, rain or shine, win or loss.

Why am I so frustrated? It's only the third game of the season! Oh yeah, I remember...because we're getting shut out by JOHN MAINE. Truly, these guys are looking like last year's team during either of those 8-game losing streaks. It's just painful to watch. Is it too much to ask for us to win our first game sometime soon? I remember us sweeping Philly to start the season last year then getting swept at Wrigley to start at 3-3. Perhaps if we lose tonight we'll sweep the Astros?
