It's surprising how similar some of the numbers are when you look at it. 155/156 OPS+, 22/23 seasons, .374/.384 OBP, .555/.557 SLG, the Warp numbers Jim mentioned, 7.86/7.65 RC/27, etc. Overlapping the vast majority of their careers in the same league to boot.
At the end of the day though, Mays did what he did at a premium defensive position, in 1500 less plate appearances. 12 straight Gold Gloves.
