Ok. So far, so very, very good.

11.2 innings pitched. 5 hits. 0 runs. He pitched good again today.

I'm getting excited about him in the rotation, but I don't want to get too excited just yet. I still think that he will be the difference maker in this year's rotation.

I agree. I think the only thing I am wondering about is the lack of strikeouts. He said it himself he couldn't put guys away yesterday but he got by unscathed. But I imagine the strikeouts will come.

Do they have to? Strikeouts take so many pitches.

I realize that there are times that a K is the best option, but I would rather see him getting quick outs.
