What does he bring to the team at all? There is no upside here. DFA the guy and bring up someone. This whole year is supposed to be development, not using below replacement old relievers.
He's somehow the second best Cardinals reliever in K-BB%.

He's here to make the other players on the team look good by throwing as many of the straightest fastballs outside of the zone as he can before getting yanked

Which is a good predictor of future performance I do agree.

But goodness is he frustrating to watch.
