Sonny Gray: 6.1IP, 3H, 0R, 0ER, 2BB, 2K, 0HR, 2.76ERA.
This is the second good game Sonny has had in a row. Considering Garrett Crochet is the only other member of the Red Sox rotation pitching well at this point, he is their #2 pitcher by default. And when he was traded to the Red Sox in November, the Red Sox fans on the two fan boards I look at thought he wasn’t good enough to be a #2.
Willson Contreras: 4AB, 1R, 1H, 1RBI, 1BB, 1K, .250AVG, .859OPS.
Willy has been one of the brighter stars on a Red Sox offense that has sputtered out of the gate (the Red Sox are 4-8).
