Got to see The Offspring and Jimmy Eat World last week. Both were great. Then I have Nine Inch Nails in Tampa on the 10th that I’m super pumped for. Haven’t seen them live yet.
I saw Jimmy Eat World a few years ago. They destroyed. So hard that the main act was noticeably boring.
They were great to the point that I thought it would be like that, but the Offspring were actually even better. Was a killer show.

Unfortunately, KDHX has fallen silent:
St. Louis community radio station KDHX has ‘ceased operations’

KDHX 88.1 FM, a longtime St. Louis community radio station, is officially off the air. Double Helix Corporation, a nonprofit that owned KDHX, says online the station has “ceased operations.”

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the corporation sent a newsletter to subscribers and announced it would not be producing any programs until late 2026 or early 2027. In March, Double Helix Corporation filed for bankruptcy, which stemmed from a period when KDHX lost dozens of volunteer disc jockeys due to firings or walkouts, losing a significant amount of financial support.

I didn't think it would happen, but they are going back on the road:

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson Will Tour as Rush in 2026

Rush co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will return to the road as Rush next year for a 50th anniversary tour dedicated to the memory of their late bandmate Neil Peart, they announced Monday. German drum virtuoso Anika Nilles, who’s previously backed Jeff Beck, will join them for the 12-date, seven-city Fifty Something tour, which kicks off June 7 at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum — the same venue where Rush played their last show with Peart in August of 2015. “After all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we [expletive] miss it,” Lee said in a press release. “And that it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of Rush music.”

And who is the new drummer, you ask? Probably the most searched name today (amongst music nerds):

@mikechamp, I saw that yesterday! If they come through STL I'll be sure to catch them, as long as the tickets aren't like $250 or something ridiculous.

I'm happy for them, just as human beings. The announcement video they put out was a little cheesy, but you could tell they are genuinely thrilled to be doing this. They talked about it with Peart's family and got their blessings. It'll be weird not to see Neil behind the kit, but Geddy and Alex get to go back to doing what they love.

Chicago is as close as they'll get.

Dang. I hadn't seen they released a city list! Looks like it's just 3 months so far. Hopefully they do a second leg. StL always supported them really well. We should get a show!!!

My daughter is obsessed with the new Taylor Swift album. It's crap. But I'm loving the "wait a minute, isn't that just a straight ripoff of the Pixies' Where Is My Mind?" moment.

Told my wife I'd love to go see them but I bet it will be too expensive. I'm happy they are getting back together. I know you can never replace Neil but Geddy and Alex are two of the greatest living musicians and it would be a shame for them not to perform any more.

Not trying to bring up bad memories, but life is too short. Go get tickets.

I got to see them on the Snakes & Arrows tour, and I'm still ruing the fact that I didn't go see their R40 tour.
