Last night Andrew McCutchen hit his 10th home run of the season which gives him double digit HRs in 16 consecutive seasons. Only 39 players have accomplished that feat. Just for fun here is the list.

Great list. Quite a few all time greats and some Hall of Very Good players on there. Canseco surprised me, as I wouldn't have believed his career was that long. Darrell and Dwight Evans were two names I did not remember. But they should've thought about starring in a buddy cop sitcom after they retired.

I assume Ted Williams is not on this list because of his two military service break. Probably a few of those.

Williams should be on the list. He had 18 seasons of double digit home runs.

Ted Williams only played 6 games and hit 1 HR in 1952 so that is the reason he was left off the list. The list is 16+ CONSECUTIVE seasons. So his 2nd stint of military service is what caused his name from not being on.

McCutch is up to 52.6 career fWAR. It's a helluva career. Like @GeddyWrox said, it has to be nice for Pirates fans to see him come back home at the end and play good ball to boot. Cards fans can understand that.

Don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed the list with no intent to hijack your post, especially since Cutch is a favorite of mine. I’ve just always been amazed at the players who served our country and Teddy Ballgame is at the top of that list with his service in both WWII and Korea. Imagine what kind of numbers he would’ve accumulated had he not missed almost 5 full seasons.
