Starting a separate thread for this because it’s different from LLMs and there will probably be a lot more of it.
Anyway, I hate this. The fact that that it’s completely unnecessary makes it even worse.

On the sites where I’ve paused ad blocker it’s in all those no one would ever click on purpose ad boxes.
But the art is also getting good at shocking speeds. It can do fingers now.
This one, I don’t know. It’s like they’re boiling frogs, maybe? Get us used to it? At least feel out our tolerance?
AI could be great. But it’s going to be mostly terrible.
I go play songs at open mic night every once in a while. And I’ve caught a little paranoia already. Or you think about guys like Dane Cook with so much energy and charisma and no jokes. It’ll be the new joke theft, IMO.
OTOH, it has helped me come up with some chord progressions.

Re: “AI art”
So apparently, the explanation is that Amazon allows users to upload their own copies of movies to Freevee (free w/commercials) no matter how bad they are. Including the art. So that copy of 12 Angry Men shows up next to the legit digital copies available to stream or to rent. I wonder now though if that's been going on well before Freevee, because I've seen some terrible copies of movies on Amazon and always wondered why. We tried to bring up an old version of The Borrowers once, and it looked like it came off a VHS tape.
