There's 30 minutes of music in my playlist. I'm sorry. But at least do listen to the thread that connects them all. Might be kind of fun to hear them out of context first too, if you don't know the songs.

Solo starts:
Skeleton is Walking: 2:17
Not: 3:20
All the Time: 3:00
Forgiven: 6:25 (oh my god the bass)
The Maker: 0:00-0:44

That Big Thief song is so [expletive] good. The guitar solo not only shreds, but it's so emotive. Not emo. It's a gutpunch of feeling. NOT EMO. Anyway, great playlist Botten. Sorry CardsofSTL.

Can't vote against a few classics from Garden State soundtrack. Cards has my vote on this one. Braff got me into a lot of artists, including Colin Hay.

Ben Harper is awesome though, Ken.

During lockdown I got a job remodeling an A frame cabin at Innsbrook. For a couple of months I'd drive west 45 mins early in the morning and was there by myself feeling like I was in the middle of nowhere. Became friendly with the neighbor but he wasn't around too much.

It was this time of year and it would get dark early. Always felt like I wasn't getting enough done, and it was more and more apparent that I underbid it with each passing day but i was also just happy to be working. The commute was ridiculous and it felt like the world had shut down and I was literally alone in the woods in this cabin by a lake.

It was m a transitional point in my life and there was a lot to think about personally and about the world in general. I listened to that Big Thief album a lot then and listening to that song just took me back there. I had forgotten quite a bit of that.

I think this is how Bon Iver albums are born.

I feel like Nikki Haley
And I feel like Joe Biden. Could be worse, my friend.

Some standouts on both playlists. Butthole Surfers, Cary Bros & Shins. Blake Mills, Big Thief & Bahamas.

Going with Filling the Void.
