A little dodgy at back. Too much space and time.

I'm not a Vlatko guy. I admit that this is the equivalent of the USMNT viewer who only watches during the World Cup making sweeping pronouncements, but he's not close to getting the most out of the talent he has at his disposal.

Say what you will about the women. They don't roll around and act like they've been shot. Kudos, ladies.

Women’s soccer is a great sport. And without most of the men’s bull [expletive]. But I think it’s gotten a little more BS-y over the years.

I’ll never be able to just accept the time manipulation and fake pain. I hate it. The MLS development league is experimenting with keeping any “injured” player down 15 seconds or more off the field for at least three minutes.

Stoppage time has improved a lot in the last 10 years. Used to be life flight could land and take a guy pretending to be hurt away and it would still be three minutes. Always three minutes.

You know that move where the goalkeeper dives and lies prostrate over the ball for 40 seconds to keep it safe? It’s weird that the risk is only present after 85’.

I don’t think Vlatko is a long-timer.

Vlatko more like Vlat-no. FOH dude. Never understood why we hired a male, non-american to begin with when there were so many qualified female american coaches available.

Bot…you’re absolutely going to hate how many calls Messi/Miami are getting. Egregious.

There’s a lot to hate about it. Every game being a home game. Them starting 9 World Cup players next year. Twellman and Zivin’s call (good God). Messi not playing on turf so I can’t sell my tickets. Hearing David Beckham’s ridiculous voice. My 90s PNW kid proclivities to be iconoclastic and longsuffering Blazers fan tendencies to hate frontrunners.

Oddly though I’m not too worked up about it. It’s a moment. With all of my sports teams it’s about the team not the league, and increasingly so. Except the Cardinals who are just kind of slipping away. I’ve just been curious to see what Messi is going to look like, and I’ll continue to be so as he starts playing league games especially against West teams I know well. And of course, despite the Rick Ross and Twellman [expletive] -ing his pants every 45 seconds of it all, Messi is fascinating to watch. He’s a pre-cog. I also don’t want to miss the game where they let Busquets taser guys to clear room for Messi.
