Finally! I can watch Tremé and My 750-Pound Life with one convenient subscription. Or has HBO's service changed again since I started typing this?

I'm watching Beef now. It's good! It's morphing into something different than my initial expectations. And I love all the inexplicable 90s music drops.

The first episode is dynamite, but I was disappointed with the new season of Black Mirror. Feels like it’s not even a tech/sci-fi anthology anymore. Werewolves?

My breakthrough epiphany on this season of Gemstones is that Maw Maw was Ivana Humpalot in the original Austin Powers.

More new Futurama? For real? I’m a big fan, but just stop it.

I always enjoy reading this thread, and it gives me so many great things to put on my watch list, but in truth, with a 2 year old I haven't watched anything not named Cocomelon or Blippi for a year. It [expletive] sucks.

As soon as the technology is there, I’m leaving my wife for Ms. Appleberry.Smith Corks One wrote: ↑July 14 23, 6:44 pmI always enjoy reading this thread, and it gives me so many great things to put on my watch list, but in truth, with a 2 year old I haven't watched anything not named Cocomelon or Blippi for a year. I finally googled this just now. Knew it would be a hung eventually.

Pretty sure The Bear is a top ten all-time show for me. Just does everything well. Looks beautiful. At different times funny, chill, dramatic, intense... Though I could see it being too much at times for some people.
There's a 20 minute one-shot episode in the first season that's just a hectic day in the kitchen and it feels like it lasts 5 minutes. Then there's a long, very intense family-dinner episode I just watched from Season 2 that's over an hour, with a lot of great guest performances. It's up for Emmy's in the Comedy categories, which is bizarre even though it's often very funny. Also a few laid-back, quieter episodes in there that are probably my favorites.

I agree, I kind of hate the category [expletive] but you kind of need to between today's blend of dramedy and established winners. It's a really great show.ghostrunner wrote: ↑July 27 23, 11:15 amIt's up for Emmy's in the Comedy categories, which is bizarre even though it's often very funny. New Futurama is great, if you don't like it, don't watch it.
I half-watched the new series from Mike Judge Praise Petey and Annie Murphy is better at voice work than I anticipated, the premise is delightfully weird, but I'm not quite hooked. Maybe a proper viewing would change it and I'll keep giving it a go.
The shine is off the apple for me with Always Sunny. It's not that the new stuff isn't good, the shtick has just gotten old to me.
Gemstones absolutely rocks.
If you liked Justified, the new season of that is pretty stellar. Boyd Holbrook is a helluva villain, hard to remember he was the kinda goofy gringo in Narcos.
