Keeping Hicks would be malpractice and further evidence the front office needs a complete overhaul.

In today's live chat about the Cardinals, Derrick Goold is writing that the team IS open to trading O'Neill:
OK. Not sure what this means or where that info is coming from. Cardinals have had conversations with teams about trading O'Neill. They were open to doing so, according to a source with one team looking for outfielders. There are questions about O'Neill's health, and the Cardinals are out to answer that -- for themselves, for other teams, too. I'll happily stand by how I described the situation based on reporting in this morning's coverage.

TON"s back would be fine if he would spend less time in the weight room and take up Yoga to learn to properly stretch.

O’Neill or Edman to the Mariners.

I would keep O'Neill. Will be motivated next year.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/07/ ... nbull.htmlThe two-year, $38MM extension that Lance Lynn signed with the White Sox in July 2021 also contained some partial no-trade protection, allowing Lynn to block deals to 10 teams per year. According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the 10 clubs on Lynn’s no-trade list are the Padres, Dodgers, Giants, Cardinals, Mets, Angels, Mariners, Yankees, Rays, and Blue Jays. Several of those teams are known be looking for pitching as the deadline approaches, though of Lynn’s 10 listed clubs, only Tampa Bay has been linked to the veteran right-hander to date.

Weird that he has mostly teams that are typically contenders
You’d think it’d be a list of the royals and such

I assume he list teams that are more likely to trade for him (since they're usually contenders) as a way to say "I don't want to be traded, period" lol.cardsfantx wrote: ↑July 25 23, 2:45 pmWeird that he has mostly teams that are typically contenders

Probably lack of incentive to put the lesser teams since they're unlikely to have any motivation to trade for him.
