Re: Random musings
Talk about torn between two lovers. Tonight SDSU (my old home state) plays NDSU (my new home state). I've always liked the Bison in football but basketball is a whole different deal. I think I'm leaning Jackrabbits.

This board has never needed baseball to start as bad as it does right now.

Re: Random musings
I was looking for a getting old thread but this will suffice since we're talking about medical [expletive].
I've got a sinus infection. Sucks, whatever.
But this one is kicking my ass. Literally feels like there is a dagger sticking in my cheek. Impossible to sleep, focus, etc.
I was up in the middle of the night last night, looking for an ENT doc to call and try to get in today to see if something was seriously wrong because, well, this is miserable.
I found one that looked familiar. Then, it dawned on me, I'd already been to see this person. Some years back, the night that Kolten Wong made a diving play on the SS side of 2B late in a close game against the Dodgers, I went to the ER because I had taken an elbow to the face earlier in the day playing basketball and was leaking fluid into my mouth. Luke said I should go to the ER to make sure it wasn't something...which I did. And, then followed up with the ENT. And, if I recall that visit, they basically said, surgery isn't needed but the bone is broken, nothing to do to help the bone heal which it will mostly do on it's own, but sinus infections may be worse in the future.
Funny, I had completely forgotten about this until seeing the Dr online that I had already seen.
Apparently, they were right, and all sinus infections will be hell going forward, so I've got that going for me.

Re: Random musings
There are certain lessons I don't think I'll ever learn. For example, if my son decides to make cookies because he's bored while home on spring break, then I will eat too many, including helping finish off extra dough; and then I will feel terrible. Every time.
That said, if he made cookies again tomorrow, I would probably not repeat my actions of this morning.
Maybe.
