This deserves it's own thread I think. Wonder if this is why he's been Nicolas Caging things lately with the VOD titles...just trying to cash in as much as possible while he could.

i dont think people here like the RLM guys but they did an episode on the bruce willis movie a thon back in feb. they're analyzing the films quality and the whole "geezer teaser"/red box /VOD phenomenon (could easily be nic cage or john cusack, etc). they were prompted by this article The King of the Geezer Teasers. they ended up doing a bit of a follow up episode where they learned after the fact this rumor that bruce was having health issues (which they didn't know about or suggest in their initial review) and the fact that 2 more bruce movies had come out since their initial discussion.

start at 9:30 to pass their comedy intro
follow up (they talk about bruce for like the 1st 36 mins before switching topics)

I'm not a big fan of some of the RLM takes but I do watch their videos from time to time. I'll give these a look when I have a little more free time.

Bruce Willis has been for the most part just been going through the motions for the last 10-12 years just making a bnch of cheesy VOD movies. Where he shows up 1 weeks worth of work and gets paid like a million dollars to make a bad movie.

I hope Will Smith doesn't punch his wife.

Wow. Some disturbing details in this story.

Also sounds like his assistant/handler was making money as a producer on his movies and not communicating how bad off he was.

In January 2020, actress Lala Kent, a star of Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” reality show, was cast as the action hero’s daughter in “Hard Kill.” In one scene, Kent said, Willis’ character was scripted to step in and protect her from villains.

“I’m supposed to think my life is about to end, and then my dad steps in to save the day,” Kent said, describing how her back was to Willis in the scene. Willis was meant to deliver a line that served as Kent’s cue to duck before he fired the weapon at a bad guy. Instead, he shot the gun before delivering the line — and the actress was unable to duck.

“Because my back was to him, I wasn’t aware of what was happening behind me. But the first time, it was like, ‘No big deal, let’s reset,’” she said.

Kent said she asked director Matt Eskandari to remind Willis to say his line before firing the gun.

But on the second take, the same thing happened, Kent said. Eskandari did not respond to calls seeking comment, but a second crew member said he remembered Kent being shaken that day. A third crew member, who also was not authorized to comment publicly, said he recalled a situation in which Willis “did fire the gun on the wrong line.”

But the crew member added: “We always made sure no one was in the line of fire when he was handling guns.”
