"Hey Eliza, did you know that our dog is older than you or your brother?"
"What a heck!"
Kids figuring out language is the best. Our minds are incredible things and you get to see just how as toddlers develop. There's a couple of transition points where progress is sloow and then BAM! things fall into place. Language is one of those.
Parenting is a lot of thankless, hard work but stuff like this is really cool.
Most of the time being the only one in my group at work based in St. Louis is nice but today is not one f those days. We had a meeting that ended about half an hour ago and at the end I found out that the rest of my group is all meeting for ice cream at some place in New Hampshire now. They apparently are touring around New England and hitting all of the popular ice cream places each time we hit a goal.
I don't really care about the actual ice cream but it does suck to not be able to be involved in the few fun parts of being part of a team at work and just get all of the meeting and work garbage that isn't fun. I just found out that one of the guys might be here in St. Louis in a couple of weeks with our boss and he asked if there were any hockey games that week. The Blues are at home that Thursday so hopefully they can manage to not fly back until Friday and we can catch a game... on the company dime. I think our boss should be willing to have the company pay for that team building seeing as we're only together a couple of times a year and I have to miss out on all of the small things like today.

I have never been to New Hampshire but one of the guys on my team actually lives about 10 doors down from Chris Carpenter's home there. The next time I'm in Boston for work during the off season, I'm going to hitch a ride back to my co-worker's house and go knock on Carp's door to see if he's home. I'm sure he'd love that and not call the cops at all.
I'm awesome at choosing paint colors. There is this room in our house, you go up stairs and there is a landing and literally this one tiny room. It is the weirdest design feature ever. I've only been up there maybe twice in ten years. So my gf decided it should be a meditation and yoga room, but it needed paint first. So she sends me a picture of this wall painted this nice gray/blue color. I said I like it and she said good I already painted the room that color. Lol Here is the kicker, she did this two weeks ago.
My daughter had to do a state report last year and was assigned New Hampshire. Interviewed a few people that have lived there. One said NH is all the people that were to red neck to live in Vermont. They all seemed to agree with the statement.

Or they refused the purchase the requisite Subaru.
