I would wager a small amount of money that Urban Meyer doesn't get fired over this. tOSU likes winning too much to let him go.

I dunno. They canned Tressel after a 12-1 season and Sugar Bowl win.

True, although the situations are quite a bit different. Tressel was lying to keep several star players eligible. I also don’t think Tressel was seen as vital to their success the way Meyer is.

Yes, I thought those odds were favorable on a bet for returning. He straight faced lied in a press thing a few weeks ago but my understanding is he could slink out of it with some attorney wording. I don’t think he’s liable for anything at this point.

Urban now says he followed proper reporting protocols for the 2015 incident.

During Big Ten Media Days, he said he didn't know of any incident.

Which is it?

So Urban Meyer knew his WR coach was a wife beater, but kept him on staff until the media caught wind of it and then he fired him?

I believe the university fired the assistant when it was reported on last week by the former espn reporter McMurphy.

Exactly. I'm not sure that this statement makes Urban look any better at all.
