I have to laugh at the idea of 62 being cranking up the heat.

I'm talking winter obviously. When its 15 or 20 outside, 62 feels pretty good, and you can always wear a sweater if you're still cold.

No I knew what you meant. I'd be miserable keeping my temperature around 55 or 60 in winter. I'll lower it but that's still usually 66.

Thanks guys. Auctions are a great idea. I've had a little luck at pawn shops as well. I found a pretty nice Makita router the other day for $40.

Auctions came up big for me. Got two pretty nice barstools for my house for $49.

My wife noticed our 10 year old refrigerator/freezer wasn't keeping the correct temperature. My first instinct was to call someone or buy a new one, but I decided to google the issue and I determined opening up the back and cleaning the condenser coils, etc was worth a shot.

It's now keeping the correct temperature.

I did something like that once and instead of applause she gave me the "even a blind squirrel" analogy.

Along similar lines, if you ever have a mini/beverage fridge stop cooling, there's an excellent chance that it is just the start relay needs replaced. $10 for the part on Amazon, 15 minutes, and needle-nose pliers will get the fridge working again.

I recommend any time any major appliance "breaks" to look up the symptoms on Google / YouTube. Likely that you can fix it yourself pretty easily and save major bucks.

I have an outdoor ceiling fan. It seems mud dauber wasps built a nest somewhere deep within it, preventing the blades from rotating at more than like 1/10th of an mph. There also doesn't seem to be any easy way to take it apart enough to get to the interior and remove all of the nest. Any bright ideas?
