Weirdly, neither of my kids (now 6 and 3) have asked that question yet, even my nature/biology loving 6yo.

Obviously, they come from the hospital.

I saw a sign while pumping gas that red "local checks only". Is that necessary in this day and age of instant electronic payments? Even checks go through that little machine that immediately informs the cashier whether or not it will clear.

Old ladies. I really appreciate it when they wait for the cashier to give them the total before they start digging through their purse looking for the checkbook.

Sliced tomatoes are an underrated topping on pizzas. It sounds redundant because of the sauce, but it's not and totally makes it better.
