My Grandma is 89 and still lives in the dairy farm where I grew up. I got her a cell phone about ten years ago for emergencies. She called me recently really excited because she had just received her first text.

Try googling for a hack. I wear my seatbelt but my car (subaru) would ding a reminder incessantly before i even remotely had a chance to strap in. The hack worked, shut it up.

I hate it when one of my parents calls because it's always the same thing. Never anything good. The last time my mom called me a couple of weeks ago was at 7am on a weekday when I was in the middle of getting ready for work and didn't have time to chat so she said, "OK, it's nothing bad. Well, some bad news but give me a call after work." You can't end a conversation like that so I made her tell me the news. She called to tell me my aunt has breast cancer. Awesome way to start the day.
