4 wins in the last 5. Sure, 2 wins and the terrible loss were against bottom feeders, but wins are wins are wins.

Was really happy to have Schwartz back. I think he made a nice impact from the very start other than his penalty right off the hop but the case could be made that he interfered enough to stop a goal against so I'll allow it.

I'm going to say it, I watched the ASG festivities yesterday but they were boring. The final was a little better but they were only going at half speed the first two games and there were some entertaining moments but they were too far in between to keep my attention locked on the games.
And the Pacific's uniforms were terrible. I did not like them.

I have to agree, although the best part of All-Star weekend is the skills competition.tlombard wrote:I'm going to say it, I watched the ASG festivities yesterday but they were boring. You speak the truth. I made them put the skills competition on at the bar after I got there Saturday. I couldn't really hear anything but I had them put it on the TV behind the people I was sitting at the bar with so that I could act like I was paying attention to them but I was really watching the skills competition. They finally got it turned on right at the end of the passing contest and I wasn't sure why they kept showing AP27 (full disclosure: I can't spell his last name right now) talking and laughing while Doughty (?) kept missing a target over and over but then it all made sense when they interviewed him and the caption said he won the contest. Definitely looked like everybody was having fun.cardinalkarp wrote:I have to agree, although the best part of All-Star weekend is the skills competition.tlombard wrote:I'm going to say it, I watched the ASG festivities yesterday but they were boring. Dang. Listening to a KMOV piece about former professional athletes who weren't from St. Louis but stayed in town after their careers were over and made the city their home. They said there are about 50 former Blues players alone who still live in St. Louis. Doug Armstrong also made a comment about their involvement in youth hockey in the area. I would have to agree with him that when you have Al MacInnis, Chris Pronger and Kieth Tkachuk all coaching teams in St. Louis is a pretty darn good thing for the sport in town.
