There should be more severe punishment for people who make meetings last longer than they need to.

Re: Random musings
meetings are always scheduled for an hour. Lots of time business is done well before the hour is up. I hate it when people insist of sitting around BS'ing until the hour is up. Total waste.MrCrowesGarden wrote:There should be more severe punishment for people who make meetings last longer than they need to.

Anyone who schedules a meeting after 3:00 pm should be drawn and quartered, or at least dick punched.

I'm in complete agreement. Not only after 3pm but also right at 8am and over lunch. I have a one on one with my boss at 3pm today. A project meeting at 8am tomorrow (which is really bad for the team members on the west coast since these times are all Central) and then Friday is the dreaded team meeting at my lunch time. Of course the rest of my team is based out of Boston so it's right after lunch for them but it completely throws my schedule off. If all three of those meetings were on the same day, I'd go postal.wart57 wrote:Anyone who schedules a meeting after 3:00 pm should be drawn and quartered, or at least dick punched.

We don't even have scheduled times for how long they're supposed to last, but I'd venture the daily meetings I have last 45 minutes. Realistically, at least 15 minutes could be cut from them. Maybe 20-25.

Re: Random musings
Why does my wife always want to talk to me on the phone when I am driving home. Any conversation we need to have can wait 30 min until I get home.
Even with the hands free in my truck I hate to talk on the phone when I am driving.

Rant: They just don't make phones like they used to; can't even stand up to being thrown across the room anymore.
