I agree, and granted the guy is older but he's a BIG body that can be a net front presence while the Blues get healthy. I think he could be had for a 1yr deal fairly cheap and he'd provide to be useful imo.MrCrowesGarden wrote:Nah. He could potentially give this team something it doesn't have. His 46 points a year ago would've been 5th on the Blues, and one of the 4 ahead of him is a defenseman.

Call me disappointed in the Blues. For that $$ and a 1yr deal he would've easily provided more value than that contract.MrCrowesGarden wrote:1 year 1 million for Jagr with Calgary.
Overall, the Blues aren't a real heavy handed team- and don't have much to speak of when it comes to big men up front.....Jagr would've helped filled that role, even in a limited capacity.

Re: 2017-2018 Blues (Hockey) Season
Blues reportedly offered the same deal, likely because of more guaranteed playing time.
Once Steen is healthy, it would've been hard to give him the Top 6 minutes he was looking for.
Unrelated, I'm surprised Blais got sent down. He had about as good of a camp/preseason that you could have for a young, somewhat off the radar player.
Either way, I'm excited to see Tage Thompson get a good look.

Tage Thompson and Vince Dunn both making their NHL debuts tonight. JT says Steen and Bouwmeester are both expected back "sooner rather than later."

Re: 2017-2018 Blues (Hockey) Season
I'm excited for the game tonight and for hockey to be back. One of our regional managers called me about an hour ago and when he asked how things are going my stupid self told him that I'm just trying to get through the rest of the day so I can go watch hockey tonight. He just chuckled and said that he called another guy who is in Boston earlier and he said the exact same thing. The funny part that the RM didn't know is that the other guy is now in my group as of a couple of weeks ago and he's who I'm paired up with to work with on knowledge exchange so we can hit the ground running in 2018. I think him and I are going to get along just fine.

Hopefully they're not on the Robby Fabbri rehab plan.MrCrowesGarden wrote:Tage Thompson and Vince Dunn both making their NHL debuts tonight. JT says Steen and Bouwmeester are both expected back "sooner rather than later."
(Too soon?)
