The email is coming from somebody much higher up and would require sign off from a member of finance who falls under our org structure so I'd be covered there. I also talked to a friend who spent years as a supervisor in purchasing until just moving to another group a couple of months ago who agreed to walk me through the creation of the req so it would get done right and have the proper approvals.
But it looks like I don't have to create any reqs now. After seeing my response that remarked how I haven't created a req in over a decade and figured I'd lost that access, they are reconsidering and going to see if they can figure out who exactly is the right person in this new organization (just put together as of September 1) and will only come back to me if they get even more desperate.

I am not sure I've even done that with Jack In The Box tacos. My new goal this weekend may be to beat your 15. After drinking during the afternoon at kickball on Saturday, I'll be primed (and dumb) enough to go for it if I remember.

My mom used to make trays of ham or turkey sandwiches with cheese on dollar rolls for parties and such. I would destroy those things. They're just so easy to grab and eat that I wouldn't even realize how many I was going through until the tray was pretty much empty.
The Monday a friend posted a group picture from the last time we did the bar cycle two years ago and wants to do it again. Last night a different friend posted that he's driving the bar cycle as a side job now.
That's clearly a sign that it has to happen right? We need to get that group together again and have my other friend be our driver.
i live in a duplex and have had a new neighbor downstairs for like, 5 months at this point. just got a text from her that her job is having her go to San Antonio for 6 months for training or something, i don't know but she asked me to grab any spam mail and toss it etc she said she leaves tomorrow and said "see you in 6 months" so i guess she's coming back...so that means i'll be alone in this building for 6 months. not that i can access her apt but i can be as loud as i want..play my drums! she was gone for about 1 month earlier in the year too for something, i assume work. she's an engineer for one of the aircraft companies but thats all i know. it's just weird. plus, i've got to move before next summer, this place just gets screwed with heat during the summer so i may not even see her again. ah well.
