The scuttlebutt is that the "lower body injury" is a broken foot.

As much as I'm down on Jori, I like him at center way more than Steen. I'd rather see Sanford given a chance up there, but that won't happen.

Blues gave up three goals in 1:02 in the second.

And Lehtera gets a goal. I'm not sure which is more bizarre.

WTF... Sobotka signed a 3 year $10.5 mil extension. Doug Armstrong's goal of filling a team of expensive third liners is almost complete!

I mean, I figured they weren't going to just bring him over to play one game and fulfill his one-year commitment, but this is ridiculous.

I love Boat, but waaaay too much money. The Blues HAVE to be planning on Vegas taking Jori, or throwing someone a draft pick to take him, or buying him out. Otherwise we have too many centers. Sure Stastny is gone after next year, but we got Thompson, Sanford, Barbashev, and cash for a FA, and Boat isn't a scoring line center.

Hey Armstrong, stop spending lots of money on third line forwards and 3rd pairing defensemen when you have gobs of kids who can do that [expletive] for the league minimum.

Nashville is spanking Dallas, and we can't get our head out of our ass against Florida. If the Blues can't get it together, they may meet Chicago.

EDIT: Thank goodness, Bergy gives us a 4-3 lead. Now hold it.

6-3 final after the empty netter. Thank goodness! Jori with a nice assist, which means he'll probably get 25 minutes on the top line next game, ugh.

I like Sobotka as well, but definitely too much money. I can't remember if he left for money or wanting to be a top 6 player or a combination of both, but if money were at all a factor before this was the type of deal it seemed like Armstrong didn't want to give back 3 years ago. Now that he's 3 years older and not played NHL level competition for 3 years he gives him the deal? Just seems really odd. I'll be happy to see him back as I generally liked him, but like you stated this is a steep cost for a guy we have a plethora of.
