Re: Cats
My cat probably saved Stinky from a scorpion sting when she was an infant. Mrs. Wart went to put her in her bassinet, and the cat jumped in the bassinet and would't let her put Stinky in it. Mrs. Wart starts yelling at me to come get the stupid cat, so I went in the room to see what was up, the cat would not calm down, I had never seen her so agitated. So I pulled the bassinet away from the wall and there was a huge scorpion on the wall, the cat jumped out of the bassinet and swatted the scorpion off the wall. I pounded that mother into the carpet so bad I think there was a permanent smear left where the scorpion once was. But that cat was not going to let us put the baby in the bed.

Re: Cats
Maybe them people had one of them baby suffocating cats instead of one of them scorpion killing ones like you got yourself wart. Personally if I were thinking about having a family someday, I wouldn't get a baby suffocating cat. If I lived in Arizona, I'd probably look into them scorpion killing cats too like you did wart. That was a good idea.

Re: Cats
It was one of the reasons I got her when I was living in Alabama, the pet store had her listed as a scorpion killer, non-baby suffocater, so I thought she would be useful if I ever moved to Az or had kids. I'll be damned if I did move to Az 3 years later and then have some kids.jim wrote:Maybe them people had one of them baby suffocating cats instead of one of them scorpion killing ones like you got yourself wart. That cat is now 18 years old and still going strong.
