Whoa, that's crazy....how does a hotel fire get out of control like that?

I mean, sprinkler systems would have to be mandatory and have the ability to keep a fire from beginning massive like that right?

The whole thing?? I could see one floor of the system malfunctioning, but the entire system of what looks to be a 75 story or more hotel?

New buildings that large typically just don't go up in flames.

I read one report that said it was an external fire and not an internal one. Hard to believe modern building materials are flammable but there you go.

I would assume as new and modern as everything is over there they would have similar building codes and safeguards as we do, but maybe not.
