An Au Pair is a nanny, a Governess is a teacher.

I got a text from someone with a link to a website where the Obama administration allegedly claimed Sandy Hook was a hoax and that no children actually died.

Beach soccer is a thing, and they are actually holding their World Cup right now. Thank you Fox sports 1 for informing me of this.

The cool 4 year old that my daughter babysits was over and really curious about our dog that recently passed dog - why did he have to die? How is going to get out of the ground? When does God let him come back?

Somehow in the conversation he figured out that we all die someday and that brought even more questions. My wife intervened and said something about Jesus, and since this little boy is Jewish I had to try to right the ship before I left for work.

Then the little guy says " I guess that's why I say the Shema (sp?) every night"

he starts to mumble stuff like hallah, mesho, hacha etc etc - and then sees Hanny Manny on TV. To save the day.

Pandora music ad tells me that there is a curved penis disease and a medication to treat it.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this was probably the last time your daughter gets to babysit that kid.

The sh'ma is the call to worship prayer. It's supposed to be said first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Probably the most important prayer in Judaism. My synagogue translated it as "Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is one. Blessed is God's glorious kingdom, forever and ever."

I should have let my daughter handle it. She worked at the J and the kids loved her, and has been watching kids from there ever since. At the J she learned the songs and a few other essentials.. It's practically a niche market for her in babysitting. Get that Enviro lawyer job in STL and we can hook you up.

Cleaning grout should be at the top of everyone's 'avoid' list.
