In this role:

50% of your focus is the 25-45 audience.
You consistently break news that no one would know about if it weren't for you.
You stay on top of all your colleagues' coverage and consistently identify opportunities for investigative reporting across the entire newsroom.
You are nimble and can jump into any subject matter.
You are proficient at building and using databases, acquiring and using public records, and using documents.
You provide solutions/ideas as well as problems.
You build sources who regularly tip you off.
You also build and engage a robust social and community following from which you get story tips and questions/concerns that lead to investigations.
You are proactive and effective in building trusting relationships and collaborating with all reporters across all teams. You co-report and co-write stories with the beat reporter and agree when to spin off and continue to dig while the beat reporter turns to other issues.
You ensure we produce important investigative work that serves all strategic parts of our community -- Butler/Warren counties and Northern Kentucky as well as Cincinnati.
You ensure your audience is growing and that you pivot when it is not growing.
You are comfortable with voice -- you bring your unique voice to all your stories, social media, video appearances and public appearances. You are comfortable sharing some personal information that helps 25-45 year olds create a personal connection to you.
You work with your advertising partner to grow and monetize the 25-45 audience.
