The part about there being multiple versions of me kind of blew my mind. I hope one of them is a 1st baseman for the Cardinals.

The good news is every physical possibility would exist. The bad news I doubt you are a 1st baseman for the Cardinals in any of those (or any of us for that matter).

I read this one last week. It was long but really good article IMO at explaining a lot of the basics of quantum theory in a way that could be easily understood. It talks about where the multiverse idea came from but also says it might not be correct.

Perminov said engineers would examine the capsule to determine what caused the glitch, though he blamed the Soyuz crew for not informing Mission Control about the unusual descent.
Later, Perminov was asked about the presence of two women on the Soyuz, and referred to a naval superstition that having women aboard a ship was bad luck.

"You know in Russia, there are certain bad omens about this sort of thing, but thank God that everything worked out successfully,'' he said. "Of course in the future, we will work somehow to ensure that the number of women will not surpass'' the number of men.

Challenged by a reporter, Perminov responded: "This isn't discrimination. I'm just saying that when a majority (of the crew) is female, sometimes certain kinds of unsanctioned behaviour or something else occurs, that's what I'm talking about.''

He did not elaborate.

There is a major announcement that just came out this morning. A group of scientists from Harvard and the Smithsonian claim they have evidence of gravity waves that would have accompanied the Big Bang. Way over my head, but it says gravity waves are predicted by Einstein's Theory of Relativity but we never observed evidence of them until now:

A group of scientists from Harvard and the Smithsonian claim they have evidence of gravity waves that would have accompanied the Big Bang. Way over my head, but it says gravity waves are predicted by Einstein's Theory of Relativity but we never observed evidence of them until now:

This is a pretty big deal actually, from a cosmological point of view. Not surprising necessarily, but as you pointed out something predicted by relativity and consistent with the big bang/inflationary model of the universe.
