The Blues' record since the Bouwmeester trade is 43-12-5. I really think this is the best Blues team of all time. They are one pace for 123 points, which would be a franchise record. I can't wait to have my heart broken in April/May.

Record vs. California teams: 1-7-0
Record vs. the rest of the league: 31-3-5
Luckily, we probably won't have to face a California team until the Conference finals, if we get there.

Re: 2013-2014 Blues (Hockey) Season
The game last night put me in a much better mood regarding the team. Lose two in a row to bad teams and I can easily pass it off as a slump. Lose two in a row to the Kings and Ducks and part of me wonders if it is a slump or if they just don't have enough to get past those guys yet.
The 35 years of playoff failure since I was born is making it difficult for me to truly believe they are a cup contender no matter how much I want to believe. I don't watch much hockey if the Blues aren't involved so I don't have that reference point as to what a championship caliber team looks like day in and day out. I do have plenty of reference points for regular season dominance flaming out in the first or second round though. Hopefully this is the year I finally get to see a parade down Market for the Blues.

Well, last night sucked. Can't pin it all on the goalies, but it's a big part of it. Obviously depends on the price, but I'm on board for a Ryan Miller trade-- to a lesser extent, Tim Thomas.

Some good Brett Hull yarns in this article
Anybody come across him back in the day? It was mostly before my time, but he left an impression or two on our suburb back when Blues practiced here.

A little Cawlidge Hawkey here, but I felt compelled to share it. Utah State goalie gives up a shorthanded, 200-foot goal with 15 seconds left in overtime because he's chatting with fans in the corner.

I never bumped into him, but his elbow brushed mine a time or two when he was walking on or off the ice at the Checkerdome back in the day. Even then, I knew it was something special that we fans could come within inches of our Blues players before, during and after games while they were making their way to and from the locker room.Freed Roger wrote:Some good Brett Hull yarns in this article

What a collapse last night against the Sens. First in regulation, then blowing a the shootout lead.
