Does seem like you should be able to expect your dogs to defend you from attack.

J
EFFERSON COUNTY • A night of drinking and movie-watching in Jefferson County took a bloody turn late Monday night.

A man, 25, was shot in the chest just before midnight Monday as he and a friend were demonstrating the best way to disarm someone with a weapon.

They had been watching the Oliver Stone movie "Savages" with two other friends at the victim's apartment in the 400 block of Thoreau Trail in the Murphy area of Jefferson County.

While watching the movie, they got into a discussion about how to disarm someone with a weapon, based on a scene from the movie. Two of the men started to demonstrate what they thought was the best way to do it, and the victim was shot with a 9mm handgun, police say.

Hello, Hashtag? Parents Give Baby Girl a Twitter-Inspired Name

Crazy baby names are nothing new. In fact, in recent years they've become endemic in our culture, with entire websites devoted to bad baby names, deliberate misspellings masquerading as parental "creativity," and celebrities who go way way past "unusual" and into "Wait. What?" territory (like actor Jason Lee, who named his child Pilot Inspektor in 2003).

But Hashtag? As in, well, #hashtag? Really? Really.

"Hashtag Jameson was born at 10 o'clock last nite," the proud parent announced on Facebook Saturday night. "She weys 8pounds and i luv her so much!!!!!!"

When I'm out tonight, I will make sure to have a few Hashtag Jameson's in her honor.
