Yeah I beat Catherine shortly before Christmas. It's a very [expletive] up concept for a game. I had to youtube walkthroughs on occasion for various levels, cause I could never find the right combination of blocks to move. I played through it as the good guy the first time - I wanna play through it again as a bad guy.Cronos wrote:I finally Platinum'd Skyrim the other day. I had to re-roll a new character in order to do so, but it was well worth it. Really enjoyed and played the hell out of that game.
Recently picked up and started "Catherine" for the PS3...oh my Lord. This game is so miserably difficult and punishing. And the story and imagery are pretty [expletive] up in the meanwhile. I like the psychology aspects of it, but the gameplay so otherwise makes you want to throw the controller across the room time and time again. Oi.
Also, I wasn't a fan of the iPhone port of FFT that I mentioned above - it's supper buggy and crashes all the time. Plus they kept a lot of the Japanese names for most of the stuff, so it's kind of a pain to remember things. So I found it for $6 on eBay for the original PS1 version, which is completely backwards compatible with my PS3.
Now that I know I can get them super cheap, I should probably look to buy Final Fantasy VII and VIII to complete my childhood triumvirate of wasted time - I swear I lost at least a year and a half of my life from those three games.
