I just put in REK's "No Kinda Dancer" (because of you two!)

Before that I was in the T-section of my CD's and played these 3 songs:
"Dreadlock Holiday" - 10cc
"Back 'o the Moon" - 10000 Maniacs

Five Pound Bass
Gringo Honeymoon
Paint The Town Beige
Daddy Had A Buick

And a little Steven Fromholz for good measure.

I love Gringo Honeymoon.

I've seen him (REK) in some small bars a few times. Met him, he is a riot.

Digging some Roy LaMontagne, thanks to you Rad also.

Piling on some more of my favorite REK in the spirit:

Blow you away
Jesse with the long hair hanging down
Don't turn out the lights (this song cracks me up)
Fourth of July

Edit: had to add Lynville train, sad song

Just recently got into him. I like him a lot.

Speaking of sad songs, listen to "Trouble".

Sad, but 'Til the sun turns black' has my eyes teared up more. Striking vocals and the technicians did a good job (audio) on the version I am listening to.

Yeah, I think he's a keeper, doc. BTW, his website says he'll be on Leno this Friday.

Thanks for the heads up Rad. I've listened to about 15 songs by him..Barfly right now. Barfly is either amazing or my wine is great. I tried a rare south american wine. It could be the wine.

But Barfly sounds awesome.
