I don't know anything about Marion Barber, but from what I can gather from 140-character snippets, he's not very good at his job.

Barber's awful plays may deflect or overshadow the overall deer in headlights awful coaching. Perhaps a larger factor in the game. 25 yard cushion on the edges. Do DBs ever practice defense with a 25 yard cushion? the downfield threat they were afraid of was minimal. That seemed like an extreme version, up-by-20 points version of prevent defense.

Thank God Tebow made them pay.

I invoked the name of the prevent defense because I still haven't even begun to forgive Lovie Smith for SB XXXVI, but it's not really applicable to a defense that gives up a 25 yard cushion and still only covers some of the people downfield. What the hell happened on that touchdown pass?
