I rooted for him in Cleveland. He was fantastic, did it the right way.

But he quit last year. Actually quit the last two years. And now he acts surprised that people gave expectations for him.

The Mavs kind of remind me of the 2006 Cardinals. They had a lot better supporting cast in 2004 and 2005, but somehow lost when it counted. Then when they were considered underdogs, they ended up winning it all out of nowhere.

You really think Mavs #2? I haven't been that impressed with their offseason, what do you see that looks so good?

Their offseason was last year's trade deadline, but beyond that, it's more what the other teams in the west didn't do. I think it's a little early still for the Thunder, the Spurs are old, the Suns have a roster of soft, small forwards, the Nuggets are going to lose Carmelo, the Rockets are intriguing but Yao could be dead, the Blazers are overrated by their fans (sorry, Sai) and too dependent on injury prone dudes, the Jazz are a mystery because they've lost so many old hands to the Bulls and Al Jefferson sucks on defense and the Mavs are experienced. The West is weaker and almost by default they are that high.

He scored as many as Dirk tonight. Had a triple double in game 5. He was pretty awful in game 4 but overall played a hell of a series. Just wasn't good enough.

Come on. You are not comparing those two. Yeah, Dirk had an off night against like 15 huge games. Did lebron have any big games this series? Not enough? Did hr even play in the 4th?


When they joined up, had their little "we just did" celebration when they done nothing, they earned this.

And yes, they earned a trip to the NBA Finals. Not too bad considering they're the most hated team I have ever seen and that this is the worst supporting cast they're going to have.

NBA should do an "It Gets Better" campIgn for the bandwagon Heat fans so they don't jump off.

That would almost be as hilarious as the NBA's 'Seriously guys, there is a comparison' campaign they've been running for the WNBA all playoffs.
